We expect that certain situations may arise which could require the officers to make exceptions to these rules. The decisions of the officers will be based, first, on what is best for the Triad Raid Force as a whole and then, second, on what is fair for the individuals involved. If it has been over a month since you have raided with Triad, your character will become inactive and will not show up on the standings or stats pages. To view inactive characters, click the link at the bottom of the page that says "show all". If you haven't raided in over three months, your character's history will be transferred to *triadhistory and your character will be removed from the website.

We have many people in Triad with the knowledge and willingness to help you improve your character for the benefit of the raid force. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask. Our forum is also a great tool for learning about your character or raiding in general. We encourage you to ask questions.

DKP is simply a means of distributing the most gear to the people who raid and contribute to the raid force the most, and to help insure those persons get geared up the fastest so that the raid force has the best chance of progressing. All your characters share the same DKP pool. It's your responsibility to gear your main raiding character to the best of your ability for the benefit the raid force as a whole, however, while you are not required to, don't be ashamed to bid on loot if we've asked you to play an alt during the raid, as our raiding alts give us the flexiblity to remain a viable raiding force when necessary; just use your points wisely. Below is how you may accrue and spend your DKP.
DKP Raiding Accruals
- +5 points if you sign up for the raid beforehand. Raids will be posted weekly on Thursday morning.
- +15 points for raiding (even if it's cancelled, for whatever reason).
- +15 points if the raid takes down a named mob for the first time.
DKP Non-Raiding Accruals:
- You can gain points for turning in transmutable loot and/or Master Spells to the guild according to the following table:
| Transmutable Loot Table |
| +3 points | T8 Treasured |
| +7 points | T8 Legendary |
| +10 points | T8 Fabled |
| +1 point | T7 Treasured |
| +3 points | T7 Legendary |
| +5 points | T7 Fabled |
DKP Spends
- The minimum value of all items is set according to the following loot table:
| Loot Table |
| T8 Fabled | -30 points |
| T8 Legendary | -25 points |
| T8 Master Spells | -10 points |
| T7 Fabled | -20 points |
| T7 Legendary | -15 points |
| T7 Master Spells | -5 points |
- You may buy adornment ingredients from the guild bank according to the following table:
| Adornment Ingredients Table |
| T8 Emerald Fragments | -3 points |
| T8 Sacred Powder | -5 points |
| T8 Infusion of Reality | -7 points |
| T8 Crystalized Mana | -10 points |
| T7 Lunar Fragments | -1 point |
| T7 Illusionary Powder | -2 points |
| T7 Infusion of Illusion | -4 points |
| T7 Hardened Mana | -8 points |
DKP Deductions
- -5 points for those who leave early or arrive late.
- -5 points for distractive or excessive use of Ventrilo. You will be warned once.
- -5 points for reviving in a zone without being told to do so.
- -5 points if you sign up for a raid but don't show up. If your plans change, change your status on the signup sheet and/or leave a note on there.
They're Your Points!
- Always check your Raid Point total before the raid. It's your responsibility to do so. You will be penalized for overbiding your points.
- If you disagree with the Raid Points listed herein, you must resolve the issue BEFORE THE RAID BEGINS. Once the raid starts, these are the points with which you will be allowed to bid.
- Your points are for your characters. You may not give your points to a friend or bid your points for an item for a friend to equip.
Bidding On Loot
- An item will be linked in the triad_bid chat channel prior to bidding. If we forget to link it, please remind us.
- The Loot Officer (usually the raid leader) will announce what classes may bid on the item.
- You can only bid on an item for the character with which you're raiding at the time the item drops, however, you are not required to bid.
- Eligible players may then bid against one another with DKP for the item. You must enter your bid in the triad_bid chat channel to be recognized, else it will not count.
- In a case where two or more people match the high bid, the high random 100 roll will win the item and the winner will be charged the amount of the bid. You must match the highest bid to be included in a roll-off.
- The minimum value of all items is set according to the above loot table.
- The Loot Officer will announce the winning bid or or conduct the roll-off.
- A Master Spells that drops on a raid will be distributed to the guild member who needs it with the current highest 60-day raid attendance and it will cost that player 10 points.
- If an item drops and no one bids on it, and it's a considerable upgrade for a player who is either in the raid or on Active Standby who has too few points, then the member may go negative to purchase the item.
- Items not bid upon during the raid will be either transmuted or sold on the broker or to a vendor and the proceeds will be placed in the guild bank.
- If we ask you to play an alt, you may park your main character near the entrance of the zone (if possible) and if an item drops which your main can use, and no one bids on it, then you can claim it for free.
If you win an item, it is expected that you will use the item on your own character. If you get caught selling an item you won on the broker... well, that would be BAD. Don't do it EVER!
Active Standby
- Any person who has signed up before the cutoff but who doesn't get to raid, either because we have too many players or because we have an over abundance of a particular class, may park his character outside the raid zone and be considered on "Active Standby".
- Players who are on "Active Standby" (and remain in vent) will receive full DKP and may bid on loot that drops during the raid just as if they are a part of the raiding party.
- Players who are on "Active Standby", may play an alt, but must be paying attention to bid on loot and must be ready to zone in if we need their class for a particular mob, or to replace someone who leaves (due to an emergency or internet outage, for example), or to loot their item if they win a bid.
- Please Note: In certain zones, it is virtualy impossible to allow an Active Standby player the opportunity to bid on loot due to repops or for other reasons; for example, Venril Sathir's Lair. In these situations, the Active Standby player will not be able to bid on loot as there is no way to get the player to the zone to loot the item. They player will still receive full raid DKP but they won't be required to stay in vent.
Master Spells
- Recruits are not eligible to receive Master Spells from the guild bank.
- Recruits may donate Master Spells to the guild bank to accrue DKP.
- Each Master Spell will be distributed to the guild member who needs it with the current highest 60-day raid attendance and it will cost that player 10 points. You can track your attendance here: www.hexmeister.com/eqdkp/stats
The Main Tank Rule
- The main tanks will have Eminent Domain over any gear that drops which is a significant upgrade for them and they may claim it for 100 Raid Points.
- While this may sometimes seem unfair on the surface, it is absolutely necessary to improve the overall success of the raids and, thus, amass more gear for everyone.
- Triad currently has three main tanks: Arrd, Habusaki, and Rakos.
Why three Main Tanks? This is called "not keeping all your eggs in one basket". Some zones require two MT's (PB, for example) and the goal is to not be completely reliant upon any two players such that we can continue raiding successfully with minimal impact in any one person's absence.
